Tijdens Antwerp Art Weekend opende in BOTANICC de preview presentatie van het ‘Zonder kunstenaars geen kunstboek’. De publicatie is het resultaat van de tentoonstelling Zonder kunstenaars geen kunst, die plaatsvond van 21 november 2019 tot 9 februari 2020 in de Nick Lodgers ruimte op de zesde verdieping van het Museum voor Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen (M HKA).
Voor de publicatie nodigden we alle kunstenaars die deelnamen aan de tentoonstelling opnieuw uit om een bijdrage te leveren. Een selectie uit de zestig bijdragen werd uitvergroot op posterformaat en voor de preview presentatie opgehangen in zowel BOTANICC als in de de publieke ruimte. Daarnaast presenteerden we een gecureerde selectie uit het NICC archief als ook de video van al de performances, lezingen, debatten en acties die plaatsvonden tijdens de tentoonstelling. Deze presentatie is nog te bezichtigen op donderdag en vrijdag van 12 uur tot 18 uur, of op afspraak ([email protected]).
Op vrijdag 18 juni is het zover! NICC nodigt u graag uit voor de officiële boekpresentatie van het ‘Zonder kunstenaars geen kunstboek’ op vrijdag 18 juni om 17 uur in de BOTANICC. Op dit moment is het mogelijk om het boek en de gepresenteerde posters aan te kopen. BOTANICC zal nadien nog open zijn op zaterdag 19, donderdag 24, vrijdag 25 en zaterdag 26 juni van 14 uur tot 18 uur of op afspraak.

During Antwerp Art Weekend the preview presentation of the ‘Zonder kunstenaars geen kunstboek’ [Without artists no artbook] opened in BOTANICC. The publication is the result of the exhibition ‘Zonder Kunstenaars Geen Kunst’ [Without Artists No Art], which took place from 21 November 2019 to 9 February 2020 in the Nick Lodgers space on the sixth floor of the Museum for Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA).
For the publication we re-invited all the artists who took part in the exhibition to make a new contribution. A selection out of the sixty contributions was enlarged to poster size and presented during the preview presentation in BOTANICC as well in the public space. In addition, we presented a curated selection from the NICC archive as also the video of all the performances, lectures, debates, and actions that took place during the exhibition. This presentation is still on view every Thursday and Friday from 12 pm till 6 pm, or by appointment ([email protected]).

Friday 18 June is the day! NICC is pleased to invite you to the official booklaunch of the ‘Zonder kunstenaars geen kunstboek’ on Friday, June 18 at 5 pm in the BOTANICC. The book and posters will be available for purchase at this moment. BOTANICC will then be open on Saturday 19, Thursday 24, Friday 25, and Saturday 26 June from 2 pm to 6 pm or by appointment.
