NL Als onderdeel van het Art Anderlecht programma organiseert NICC op vrijdag 13 september een open discussie over het belang van werkgroepen, in samenwerking met Tine Deboelpaep. De sessie gaat dieper in op de mogelijkheden en uitdagingen van werkgroepen: wat hebben deze groepen gemeen? En hoe kunnen we ze duurzaam implementeren?
Who Wants to do the Dishes? vindt plaats op 14 september van 10:00 – 12:00 uur in de NICC Vitrine en is een performatieve re-enactment van de uitwisselingen en gedachten bij het gesprek van de vorige dag. Met attributen, improvisatie en autofictie als dramaturgische richtlijnen, verdiepen we ons op speelse wijze in de emotionele betrokkenheid, inspanning en gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid die nodig zijn om ideeën om te vormen tot mogelijke acties.
Reflecteer samen met ons over de complexiteiten en uitdagingen van samenwerken – where everybody wants a revolution, but nobody wants to do the dishes.
Tine Deboelpaep (°1992, BE) onderzoekt in haar praktijk noties van welzijn, interdependentie en zelfbehoud in relatie tot en beïnvloed door de dominante ‘ismes’ van vandaag.
De workshop in het NICC komt voort uit haar lopende onderzoeksproject Sad Artists Department (SAD), een geënsceneerde tijdelijkheid, die een fictieve zelfhulpgroep voor kunstenaars en kunstwerkers samenbrengt. Het participatieve werk creëert frictie tussen beeldende kunst en performance, fictie en realiteit. Maar het is meer dan alleen fictie. SAD vormt een prefiguratieve ruimte waar we collectief oefenen/repeteren in zorgzaamheid en vrijgevigheid.
EN As part of the Art Anderlecht program, NICC hosts a reflective talk on the importance of working groups, in collaboration with Tine Deboelpaep. The session addresses the potential and challenges of working groups: what do these groups have in common? And how can we implement them sustainably?
Taking place on September 14th from 10:00 – 12:00 at the NICC Vitrine, Who Wants to do the Dishes? is a performative reenactment of the exchanges and lingering thoughts from the previous day’s talk. Using props, score-based improvisation and autofiction as dramaturgical guidelines, we playfully delve into the emotional engagement, labour and shared responsibility required to transform ideas into possible actions.
Join us for a reflection on the complexities of what it means and what it takes to work together — where everybody wants a revolution, but nobody wants to do the dishes.
Within her practice Tine Deboelpaep (°1992, BE) explores notions of well-being, interdependence and self-preservation in relation to and influenced by the dominant ‘isms’ of today.
The workshop at NICC stems from her ongoing project Sad Artists Department (SAD), a staged temporality, that gathers a fictional self-help group for artists and art workers. The participative work creates friction between visual arts and performance, fiction and reality. But it isn’t ‘just pretending’. SAD forms a prefigurative space where we collectively practice/rehearse in caretaking and generosity.
