Starting in 2026, six transition processes—each lasting two years—will begin. According to the vision note, these processes will include input from the sector. However, it remains unclear what this input will look like in practice. That is precisely why it is crucial for artists and arts professionals to share what this reform means to them before these processes begin.

NL: NICC organiseert een openbaar debat voor kunstenaars, kunstwerkers en andere culturele professionals om de aangekondigde hervorming van het Vlaamse museumlandschap te bespreken.

De aangekondigde hervorming van het Vlaamse museumlandschap zorgt voor veel beweging. Ze roept vragen en verontwaardiging op, maar ook verwachtingen, hoop en nieuwsgierigheid.

Vanaf 2026 gaan zes transitieprocessen van start, die elk twee jaar zullen duren. Volgens de visienota zullen deze processen input van de sector omvatten. Het blijft echter onduidelijk hoe deze input er in de praktijk zal uitzien. Juist daarom is het cruciaal dat kunstenaars en kunstprofessionals, nog voor deze processen van start gaan, laten weten wat deze hervorming voor hen betekent.

Wat vandaag ontbreekt, is een ruimte waar deze diverse stemmen echt gehoord worden. Daarom nodigt NICC je uit voor een open gesprek, speciaal voor kunstenaars en kunstprofessionals. Het wordt een moment om te spreken en te luisteren, om verschillende perspectieven naast elkaar te laten bestaan en om gezamenlijk inzicht te krijgen in wat deze hervorming zou kunnen betekenen.

Of je nu vragen, twijfels, kritiek, hoop, enthousiasme hebt of gewoon behoefte hebt om te begrijpen wat er te wachten staat – jouw perspectief doet ertoe.
