In 2024 staan er verkiezingen op verschillende niveaus op de agenda: lokaal, regionaal, federaal en Europees. Deze keer wil NICC proactief optreden. In het verleden reageerden we op slecht geïnformeerde beslissingen, mislukkingen en tekortkomingen van het beleid. Nu willen we dat soort feiten voor zijn.
Het afgelopen jaar verzamelden we input van jullie, kunstenaars en artist-run platformen. We hebben jullie ideeën, wensen en voorstellen gebundeld in een motie voor het cultuurbeleid van de toekomst. Onze belangrijkste eis is de erkenning van de rol die kunst en cultuur spelen in het leven van alle mensen. Kunst is niet opgesloten in musea, afgezonderd van de rest van de maatschappij, en is dat ook nooit geweest.
Het memorandum is rond twee grote krachtlijnen opgebouwd. Enerzijds zijn er acties nodig om de werking van artist-run organisaties te versterken. Anderzijds richten we ons op het verbeteren van de sociaal-economische positie van individuele kunstenaars. We doen voorstellen die besturen op lokaal, regionaal en federaal niveau aanspreken.

In 2024, elections are scheduled at various levels: local, regional, federal, and European. This time, NICC aims to take a proactive approach. In the past, we responded to ill-informed decisions, failures, and policy shortcomings. Now, we want to anticipate and prevent such occurrences.
Over the past year, we gathered input from you, artists, and artist-run platforms. We compiled your ideas, desires, and proposals into a motion for the future of cultural policy. Our main demand is the recognition of the role that art and culture play in the lives of all people. Art is not confined to museums, isolated from the rest of society, and never has been.
The memorandum is structured around two major focal points. On the one hand, actions are needed to strengthen the operations of artist-run organisations. On the other hand, we focus on improving the socio-economic position of individual artists. We present proposals that address governance at the local, regional, and federal levels.

En 2024, des élections sont prévues à différents niveaux : local, régional, fédéral et européen. Cette fois, le NICC vise à adopter une approche proactive. Par le passé, nous avons réagi à des décisions mal informées, à des échecs et à des lacunes politiques. Maintenant, nous voulons anticiper et prévenir de telles occurrences.
Au cours de la dernière année, nous avons recueilli les contributions de vous, artistes, et des plateformes dirigées par des artistes. Nous avons compilé vos idées, vos désirs et vos propositions dans une motion pour l’avenir de la politique culturelle. Notre principale revendication est la reconnaissance du rôle que jouent l’art et la culture dans la vie de tous les citoyens. L’art ne se limite pas aux musées, isolé du reste de la société, et n’a jamais été le cas.
Le mémorandum est structuré autour de deux points principaux. D’une part, des actions sont nécessaires pour renforcer les opérations des organisations dirigées par des artistes. D’autre part, nous nous concentrons sur l’amélioration de la position socio-économique des artistes individuels. Nous présentons des propositions qui abordent la gouvernance aux niveaux local, régional et fédéral.
